  1. How big is 1 cubic metre (m3)                                                                                                                                                 1 cubic metre = 1 m long x 1 m deep x 1 m high.
  2. How do I estimate the correct size mini skip bin to hire?                                                                                                   To work this out go to your pile and measure the length of the pile x depth of the pile x height of the pile                                      pile length 2.4 m x pile depth 1.8 m x pile height 1.3 m = 5.6 m3 - order a 6 m3 skip bin.

How do I order a skip bin?                                                                                                                                                  Simply by ordering online through our website, call us and book over the phone on 0417 514 763 or email us and we will              contact you for your details and requirements.
  4. Can I have a skip bin delivered on a weekend?                                                                                                                 Yes, we work Saturdays only during the cold weather and 7 days over summer and busy periods.
  5. Can I place an order for a skip bin during the weekend?                                                                                                 Yes, you may order your skip bin online, over the phone or by email 7 days a week.
  6. How do I pay for my skip bin hire?                                                                                                                                     Simply by ordering online and paying by credit card, over the phone or you can pay our driver by cash or credit card on the day.
  7. How long will it take until my skip bin is delivered?                                                                                                        If you book by 11 am, we can normally get a skip bin to you the same day, otherwise within 24 hours of the booking being made
  8. How long do I get to load the skip bin?                                                                                                                            Standard skip bin hire periods are for 3 days including the day the skip bin was delivered on.
  9. Can I extend the period of time I have the skip bin for?                                                                                                 Yes, when you book your skip bin hire, let us know if you need the skip bin for a longer. There is an additional fee of $20 per          each additional day you require the skip bin.                                                                                                                              If you already have the skip bin delivered and you would like to extend the time frame allocated to you, simply let us know and if it    is possible we will make the necessary arrangements for you. However, there is a $20 per each additional day fee to be paid.
  10. Can I cancel the skip bin order?                                                                                                                                        Yes, although we need 4 hours notice prior to our skip bin delivery, if you cancel inside the 4 hour period a $60 fee will apply.
  11. Can I change or reschedule a skip bin order?                                                                                                                    Yes, it must be at least 4 hours prior the the delivery of our skip bin, if it is inside this time frame a $75 fee will apply.
  12. Do I need to be at the delivery?                                                                                                                                        We prefer you are present, however, it is not essential, providing you let us know prior to delivery, informing us where you             would like the skip bin to be placed.
  13. Where on my property do you leave the skip bin?                                                                                                             Normally skip bins are placed on your driveway, so prior to us delivering the skip bin, you need to make sure your driveway is          clear. We can place the skip bin in other areas, providing there is a solid surface offering full support for our truck should it rain.
  14. Can you place the skip bin on he nature strip or road for me?                                                                                           Council regulations state we may only place skip bins between the fence line of your property and the rear boundary of your            property. If you do want to place the skip bin on the nature strip or road, you must organise to get a council permit which        is normally around $80 - $130  depending which shire you are in. The council permit fee must be paid in full prior to delivery of the   skip bin. We can help to organise a council permit for you should you require one. 
  15. What happens if you run out of sized skip bin I ordered?                                                                                                  If we are unable to provide the size skip bin you ordered, we will contact you and offer you a substitute sized skip bin. If the            alternative bin is larger, you may only use the m3 which you have paid for, if you exceed the limit, additional fees will be                payable. However, should you prefer to receive a refund, we will refund 100% of the fees paid the Eastern Skip Hire. If you              were offered a smaller skip size to what you previously ordered, we would refund the outstanding money owed to you.
  16. When do you collect the skip bin?                                                                                                                                      We will collect the skip bin at the conclusion of the rental / hire period, which is 3 days after placing the skip bin.                            We reserve the right to collect the skip bin at a time prior to the conclusion to the hire period if you do not have permission to          locate the skip bin at the placement site, or if you are in breach of our terms and conditions in any way.
  17. Are there any additional charges when hiring a skip bin?                                                                                                 If you follow our guidelines and weight restrictions, there will not be any additional charges. However, if you wish to : -                  - dispose of bed mattresses, car or truck tyres and batteries, these will incur additional charges                                                       - if you overload the weight limit of the skip bin you will be charged for the additional weight of materials inside the skip bin             - if you mix heavy recyclable materials e.g. bricks and dirt, when you have ordered for a single recyclable material, you will be           charged additionally as mixed waste price                                                                                                                               - if you cancel our service inside 4 hours prior to delivery of our skip bin, a $75 fee will apply                                                         - if you decide to postpone or rebook our service inside 4 hours of our skip bin delivery, a $75 fee will apply                                   - if we cannot access your drop off or pick up location for whatever reason, or access is denied or blocked, a $100 fee will apply         to reschedule another pick up or delivery                                                                                                                                 - if you hide non - compliant or prohibited waste inside the skip bins, you will be charged for either : -                                       a.  the disposal costs of the materials depending on what they are, asbestos, medical, biological, radioactive etc or the prohibited          waste will be returned to you, we refuse to handle these materials for our employees health and safety interests                         b.  we will return the items back to you along with a $120 fee                                                                                                     c.  if you don't want to pay the fine, we will return all of the contents of the skip bin to you in full, no exceptions                             d.  Eastern Skip Hire reserves the right not to dispose of any non - conforming or prohibited waste found in our skip bins,                   leaving it for the Customer to dispose of.
  18. When I hire the skip bin, do I own it for the hire period?                                                                                                  No, Eastern Skip Hire are the legal owners of the skip bin and no interest whatsoever in the skip bin is passed onto you at any          time, despite your possession and control over it during the hire period. You own the contents of the skip bin until we collect            the skip bin at the end of the hire period.
  19. Is there any restrictions on the use of the skip bin?                                                                                                 While the skip bin is in your possession, care and control, you agree to : -                                                                                    - place or allow anyone else to place non - conforming waste into the skip bin                                                                              - light fires, burn or allow anyone else to burn waste in the skip bin                                                                                            - excessively fill the bin causing the waste to protrude above the sides of the skip bin, or otherwise, not fit within the confines of         the skip bin                                                                                                                                                                        - relocate, remove or otherwise move the bin from delivery address or the placement site, unless we consent and put it in                  writing                                                                                                                                                                                - use the skip bin for any illegal purpose which contravenes our terms and conditions, or any laws                                                  - use the skip bin for any other purpose other than to deposit waste

  21. What are my obligations when I hire a Skip Bin?                                                                                                               You Must : -                                                                                                                                                                                                                   - make sure to protect the grounds surface and to take any precautions to prevent surface damage at the placement site                 - to use the skip bin in a sensible and reasonable manner                                                                                                           - ensure the skip bin is reasonably visible and appropriate warning signs are posted in its proximity, while the skip bin is in                your care, possession and control                                                                                                                                           - NOT to place any non - complying waste into the skip bins                                                                                                       - return the skip bin in the same state and condition as when it was delivered to the placement site                                               - Obtain all necessary approvals and permits for the delivery and placement of the skip bins at the delivery address and in its              proximity for the duration of the skip bin hire period                                                                                                                                          - assume all liability and responsibility for the contents deposited into the skip bin, whether or not it was deposited by you    
  22. What am responsible and liable for when hiring a skip bin?                                                                                            You are responsible and liable for the following : -                                                                                                                    - any claims, liability, loss or costs incurred by you as a result of late delivery of the skip bin                                                          - subject to fair wear and tear, all loss, damage or destruction of the skip bin while the skip bin is in your care, possession,                and control                                                                                                                                                                          - any damages to your concrete driveway, pavement, pathway, grass or surface including any underground watering systems,            as a result of the delivery or collection of the skip bins.
